I have selected the image i want to use for my front cover. I have imported it into photoshop and have taken these screen shots of my actions. I have learnt alot about photoshop through creating this front cover, i learnt how to layer, insert text, use the eraser tool and use colour sucessfully.

I have taken 9 photographs of the sixth form common room. I have varied the angles so i have a choice when i come to choose the final picture.
I then evaluated my 9 pictures, this helped me to realise more about my photography.

14/Feb/2010 Preliminary Task

I have gathered the results of my questionnaire and have written them up. The majority of people supported my flat plan design and agreed that the choices i had made were the right ones.

11/Feb/2010 Preliminary Task

I have now created a flat plan. I have also completed a questionnaire consisting of 5 questions that ask about my flat plan. I have printed out 10 of them and will ask my fellow students to answer them for me.

10/Feb/2010 Preliminary Task

I have looked at our school magazine front cover and analysed it in terms of images, colours, masthead, and overall effect.
It was clear that the front cover was not effective, the number of images used meant it looked busy. The masthead was to small and the cover only dealt with one subject specific matter.
My front cover will hopefully be better than this!

I have been adding to my powerpoint this week and have also discussed the front covers of COUNTRY LIFE magazine and OK magazine. I presented my completed powerpoint to the class yesterday.
